Moving Moving and London

So im moving out of that trash they call an apartment. I have a new place and i am in love with it. Not only is is bigger and better but its cheaper than the last one. I feel like I'm finally taking steps towards my goal for the new year. The next step is the funnest part. I am buying a whole bunch of new things to decorate my crib....this is my 3rd place and i have never as much as hung a picture on the walls before. Wel li did decorate my bathroom with rubber duckies....but my bestie thinks their really ugly so she through it all away during the process. She has some nerve.lol. On a more serious note...my daughter will have her own room. I am very excited about that cause me and her sharing a room does not work out. 2 divas can not share 1 space.lol. so i happen to be very random...when i was pregnat they said she wouldnt be more than 5 lbs. Liars!!! She was 6.8...but she started growing realllly slow. Since she was born in september she has gain 1 lb and month. This month she gained 3 and thats great!! Shes growing up. Even though shes 4 months and stull in a 0-3 month clothing...shes growing and i have confidence that she will catch up.lol

The Rainy Mountain...Mood

I think Momaday set the mood during this essay by using very vivid descriptive dialogue. He describes the scenery as such a tranquil place, kinda makes you wanna be there. Although the essay is about going to see his deceased grandmother, the mood was not set as sad or depressed. Instead he replaced those feelings with good memories that gave the essay a peaceful mood. At the end of the essay he discusses the funeral and actually going to see his grandmothers grave. When he is talking about the funeral to me the mood was kinda sad. He reminisces about the moment and its like he starts hyperventilating. By the last paragraph, he pulls together and ends the story like he started...peaceful and tranquil.

Obama and Ignorance...

First of all...let me start by saying I am extremely excited that Obama is offically my president. He has paved the road for so many americans to not only to become president....but to achieve to become greatness. My grandparents who drunk out of seperate fountains, couldn't use the same bathroom, couldnt eat at the same resturants as whites, were allowed to witness the moment in history. My child, who will not remember this moment but will be reminded, will grow up with hope and ambition knowing that nothing can stop her or stand in her way of doing what ever in life she chooses to no matter where she came from or what she looks like. Now...ignorance. Ok now...some people have never even heard the man speak...they just voted because he was black. "MY president is black..blah blah blah" thats pure ignorance. Who says just because a person is black or white man or woman determines their ability to run the country?? Next...change. Our country and economy didnt start collapsing in the course of a day or a month so why do people expect for immediate change as soon as obama steps foot into th3 white house?? It really scares me that because things wont chnage over night america is gonna start loosing hope and stop believing. Obama said yes we can...CORRECTION...yes we did...and i have faith that WE WILL.

Living Expenses...

So...I lay my head in within four walls that my landlord would classify as an apartment. Me on the other hand, I call it a hell hole. It’s so not livable to a normal human being. Since I moved in, in august I’ve the bad case of "Domino Leaks". Every time it rains, it rains into my bedroom. Every time you flush the toilet in one bathroom, and take a shower in the other; my dining room table catches the aftermath. It took THREE whole months just to fix that!! I had other problems such as the need for a new door and locks, backed up pipes, and etc. but it wasn't until December when I started having major problems. Everyone knows that in December it tends to get cold. Well....As cold as it was, or is seeing that the problem isn't fixed, there hasn't been any hot water or heat. I go to the maintenance office daily, and every other day they'll get it working and it will only work til the end of the night if that. My refrigerator stopped working and all my groceries went bad, right after grocery shopping. Because I don’t own rental insurance, they won’t replace my food but they will replace my refrigerator. Well a week after having a NEW refrigerator, that also stopped working and once again I lost my food. So now I eat out everyday because with my luck, if I buy food I will loose it. Common sense will tell the geniuses that they need to obviously replace something. They finally figure out that they fuse box needs to be replaced. By this time my daughter gets extremely sick and im forced to temporarily move. Yea that’s right I have to pay rent in a place that is not livable and in order for them to move me into another apartment, I have to pay them almost $400. Geez these people are criminals. I have a meeting with them tomorrow to discuss a loop hole to get myself out of this lease which still has 7 months left. I recommend that no one EVER stay in the **** Apartments. I left you guessing which one just incase my opinion gets in the way of me moving.lol.

A Blog On Bloggin

For an assignment My English class had to discover two two-weeks worth of a blog and present it to our class. I found two blogs both written by women. The first blog was written by a pregnant women who blogged on her prego-experiences daily. I've been pregnant and for me, that was the most miserable nine months i have ever experienced. She writes about all the good moments, but not as much on the bad ones. When a women is pregnant shes goes through many different mood swings. I have NEVER seen a pregnant woman who doesn't cry at least twice a week!! I think when you blog you should be truthful. If your going to talk about a life experiance, why not tell all aspects of it. I don't know about anyone else but good isn't always juicy if you know what i mean.lol. The second blog I read was about some chick who calls herself a "diva". It was called a divashouldnever. In my opinion, just because you're born into royalty doesn't make you a diva, it makes you a spoiled brat! Ok don't get me wrong Gucci, Prada, Coach, and Fendi are all very nice, but who wants to read about some naive woman who gets funds from her parents to support her reckless lifestyle. Go buy a house, build your own financial stability, then buy the "flyest" brands, and you can EARN the label "diva. Women like this give strong independent women a bad name. Ugh!!!! Next time I have an assignment like this, i hope i find something worth writing about.
