Ike Ellis Genicide Gena 6

Im not really sure if this is my favorite song exactly...but its my favorite song thats actually talking about something worth writing about. This Song is about Gena 6. For yall who dont know what that is...Jena 6 is a group of six black students ageing from 15-17 yrs old that were charged with attempted second-degree murder and conspiracy and faced up to 100 years in prison without parole for beating a white student into concussion. Jena High school is a school in a small town in lousianna with about 85% whites. On December 3rd, 2006, the 6 boys sat down at a table in which white kids normally sit and started racial tension. The Next Day, there was 3 nooses hanging from that same tree, and the fight broke out. One of the kids Michael was tried y an al white jury and faces up to 22 yrs in prison. On Septemeber 20th, 2007, the largest civil rights demonstration in years took place, and over 20,000 protesters marched on Jena 6 that day. Not to mention the similiar protests taking place in other cities across America. My Friend Ike Ellis, wrote and recorded a song called Genacide Gena 6 filled with his opinion and outlook on Jena 6. Hope You enjoy.http://http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=258170230
